What we do

Six types of engagement

Practical diagnosis. Clear findings. Accountable improvement. Select any engagement below to see what it involves.

01

Operational diagnostic review

Assess performance, pain points, root causes, risks and improvement priorities — with a clear 30/60/90-day output.

  • Structured discovery across leadership, management and front-line teams
  • Independent analysis — no assumptions, no solution to sell
  • Root cause analysis, not symptom description
  • Prioritised findings ranked by risk, urgency and impact
  • Practical 30/60/90-day improvement plan
  • Board-ready presentation of findings

02

Interim COO / operations leadership

Senior executive support during transition, stabilisation or change. A defined mandate, not an open-ended engagement.

  • COO cover during vacancy, handover or period of operational strain
  • SMF24 credibility — regulatory accountability handled with full transparency
  • Clear mandate agreed before start — scope, decisions, exit plan
  • Management rhythm re-established from week one
  • Built to hand over — successor capability developed throughout
  • Day-rate or monthly retainer, 3 to 9 months typically

03

Operating model improvement

Clarify roles, responsibilities, decision rights, process ownership, handoffs and metrics across the business.

  • Current state mapped as it actually works — not as it is documented
  • Decision rights made explicit — who decides what, who is consulted
  • Handoffs between teams documented and owned at both ends
  • Metrics designed to measure outcomes, not just activity
  • Designed for the insurance environment — not a generic framework
  • Sequenced implementation plan with owned actions

04

Transformation delivery review

Test whether active programmes can deliver operational benefit — not just programme activity and RAG reports.

  • Independent of the programme — no interest in its continuation
  • Assessment of delivery confidence, not restatement of the programme's own view
  • Root cause analysis of delivery issues — governance, accountability, scope
  • Clear recommendation: continue, reshape or stop — with rationale
  • Board-ready summary that supports a real decision
  • Typically 3 to 5 weeks

05

Controls, accountability & resilience

Strengthen ownership, evidence, escalation, governance and management rhythm where pressure is emerging.

  • Assessed from an operational accountability perspective — not a compliance one
  • Real controls, not paper ones — evidence, ownership and follow-through
  • Root cause analysis: design failure, operation failure or accountability failure
  • Management rhythm and governance effectiveness reviewed
  • Improvement plan with named owners and realistic timelines
  • SMF24 credibility — understanding of what good looks like from the inside

06

AI operations readiness

Identify where AI can safely support operations and where controls or judgement need redesigning first.

  • Independent of any AI vendor or implementation partner
  • Operational not technical perspective — process, controls and governance
  • Use cases evaluated against a consistent readiness framework
  • Governance framework proportionate to the risk profile
  • Prioritised, sequenced roadmap for safe adoption
  • Aligned to current FCA, PRA and Lloyd's guidance

When to call us

When insurance operations need senior attention

01
Operational strain

Something isn't working — but diagnosing the real root cause requires senior experience, not another internal review.

02
Leadership gap

COO vacancy, handover challenge, or a senior operations leader stretched too thin to see the full picture.

03
Change not landing

Transformation programmes are active and budgets are spent, but the operational benefits aren't showing up in the business.

04
Controls pressure

Governance, resilience or accountability issues emerging — from regulators, auditors, or your own management team.

05
Unclear ownership

Roles, handoffs and decision rights are blurred. Nobody is quite sure who owns what — and it's starting to cost.

06
AI adoption risk

Pressure to move on AI is real, but process, data controls and human judgement aren't yet ready for safe adoption.

Get in touch

Let's start with
a conversation.

No commitment, no pitch deck, no junior team on the call. A focused conversation to understand the challenge — and whether MP Sure is the right fit.

How the first conversation works

There is no commitment and no pitch. If we think an engagement is the right approach, we will say so and explain why. If we think something else would serve you better, we will tell you that too.

  • 1Tell us about the operational challenge you're facing
  • 2We'll share an honest view of whether and how MP Sure can help
  • 3If there's a fit, we'll propose the simplest engagement that addresses it
